this is my version of my new Zealand flag the reason why this flag does't have stars it is because everyone is coming to new Zealand so it is becoming a world wide country.

  2. Kia ora Azaar,

Awesome, I really liked how you created a flag to represent all the nations living in New Zealand. I definitely agree with you. We are such a multicultural nation here in New Zealand that it is important to include everyone in our flag. Have you thought about how Maori could be more represented on our flag?

Thank you so much for sharing this incredible creation. I look forward to seeing more of your awesome posts while on the Summer Learning Journey.

    Have a wonderful day,
    Megan

  3. Faka lofa lahi atu Azaar,
my name is Cia. I am a Summer Learning Journey blogger who will be working with you over the summer break.

I like the simple and neat flag you have designed and I love the fact that you have considered how multicultural our little country is. You are right that New Zealand is becoming a worldwide country.

Maybe next time you could talk about what the colours and the cross represent. I definitely think you could also include something about our Tangata Whenua, as our Māori people and the history of their arrival and life in early Aotearoa is very important.

This reminds me of when I learned about Waitangi day and how the treaty between Pakeha and Māori changed New Zealand in all sorts of ways. If you were to design a new flag, how would you represent Māori in it?

You are off to a good start Azaar, I look forward to reading more of your blog posts this summer.

Toe feiloa’i fo’i ('See you again' in Samoan),

    Cia.
